The Ibis London Canning Town is a nice and relatively new hotel in the London Docklands with 196 rooms. It is in a perfect location with the Underground and DLR across the street. Rooms are beautifully and modernly furnished. Good beds and extra pillows were present. Bathroom was also fully equipped, incl. a hair dryer and shampoo. If you have a room at the front, you have a superb view of the O2 Arena and the Emirates Air Line.
In the lobby there is a nice bar where you can enjoy a drink after a busy day. Apparently this bar is also very popular with the surrounding companies, because when we arrived on Friday afternoon, it was very busy with locals.
Breakfast was also served in the same lobby, costs were € 12.50 if you did not book this upfront. The breakfast was very good. You could choose between a delicious English breakfast, a continental breakfast or of course a combination of the two. Everything was refilled well, you never really missed out on anything. One minor downside is that the lobby wasn’t large enough to handle the peak when the largest majority of guests went to breakfast.
We have stayed here for three nights and had a perfect stay. It is a hotel to definitely return to.
